A radio broadcaster for more than three decades, Lucy Leong started her career in the then Broadcasting Department in 1961. She later became a programme announcer and rose up to become Controller of Radio and managed all the English radio stations of Radio Singapore. Lucy Leong shares how radio programmes were produced and how radio promoted government policies and publicised national campaigns.
An engineer in the Broadcasting industry for 37 years, Ujagar Singh joined the Broadcasting Department in 1953 and retired in 1990. In the later part of his career,Ujagar Singh was appointed Director of Corporate Planning in the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (the precursor of Mediacorp). Ujagar shares how TV was launched in 1963 and how it changed social behaviour in Singapore.
