This is the wedding photo of Anthony Low Hua Mong (second from left). He is the son of Philip Julian Low Gek Seng and Mary Teo Ah Phang.
Anthony Low's bride is Cecila Wee Sai Cheng (second from right). She is the daughter of Wee Cheng Soon and Regina Tan.
They are prominent and wealthy Teochew families in Singapore. Both families are prominent Roman Catholic church philantropists, going back to the 1850s and especially so from the 1890s until the 1940s.
The tallest standing man is Philip Julian Low Gek Seng, father of the groom. The little girl on the extreme right is Mary Low. Mary Low is the niece of the groom and granddaughter of the groom's father.
The solemnization of the marriage of Mr Low Hoa Mong, Anthony and Miss Wee Sai Cheng, Cecilia was on Thursday, 20th September 1923. Loa Hoa Mong was the youngest son of Mr. P. J. Low Gek Seng and grandson of Mr Low Kiok Chiang. Wee Sai Cheng was the eldest daughter of Mr Wee Cheng Soon, a prominent contractor.
