MALAYSIAN FLAG
Flag of Malaysia, in use since 16 September 1963 when the Federation of Malaysia was formed. The 14 points on the star and the 14 red and white stripes represent the 14 states of Malaysia. The design of the flag was maintained even when Singapore separated from Malaysia in 1965, with the 14 stripes and the 14-pointed star bearing the new meaning of 13 states and a federal government.
