Synopsis

Mamoru Shinozaki approached Dr C J Paglar to head Eurasian Welfare Assocation. Father awareness of dangers facing Eurasians with British ancestry. House of Freddy Woodford opposite Joo Chiat Police Station - East Coast Road, used as Association" headquarters. Help offered included money, food, medicine plus job placement. Father aphilanthropist; spent own money on black market medicines for the needy. Association's semblance of support for Japanese did not reflect Eurasians' true feelings; cooperation as an attempt to stay out of trouble.
