Synopsis

Layout of Bahau. How they found places to sleep in bunk houses. Assigned to work in cookhouse. Found out what to do and where to go by asking around. Settlers in later batches allocated land by balloting; earlier batches had choice. Settlers given money and rations for first few months. Built their house by group effort; later employed contractor to finish off. Layout of house.
