Synopsis

*Reactions toward the Parent-Teacher Association. Teachers in Geylang had monthly lunch outings together. School's orchestra. Relationship amongst the teachers. Principal was approachable yet strict. Little opportunity to meet teachers from other schools due to the unavailability of transport. Why parents like children to spend more time in school. School was destroyed during war. Schools interviewee taught during Occupation. Schools were forced to learn Japanese during Occupation.
