Synopsis

*Strong racial sentiments in Ulu Pandan during racial riots in 1964. Grassroots leaders organised goodwill committees to visit Malay/Chinese kampungs to pacify residents. Recounted occasion when he accompanied Member of Parliament to visit Malay kampung and was surrounded by hostile residents. Managed to get out safely with help from Malay kampung elder.
