The Housing and Development Board was established in 1960 as a statutory board by the Housing and Development Act. The Administration and Finance Division is one of three divisions under the Chief Executive Officer.
The Administration & Finance Secretariat is responsible for carrying out of all policies and procedures and ensures the smooth running of the whole organisation; for all management and corporate planning, as well as productivity monitoring and studies; it also looks after the recuitment of staff, manpower planning, conditions of service,staff welfare and manpower development and training; as well as public relations, that is, the Board's relationswith the media, publications and visitors to the Board.
