Title: 大家来杀鬼子兵 Da Jia Lai Sha Gui Zi Bing
This record was produced in 1939, following the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War. This was a period of heightened anti-Japanese sentiment among the overseas Chinese community. The lyrics describe the atrocities and chaos caused by the Japanese soldiers advancing in China, and the fear and destruction faced by the Chinese people. The song ends by encouraging listeners to take up arms against the enemy. The record label has the title scratched out, which (considering the sensitive nature of the lyrics) suggests that the owner may have deliberately defaced it to avoid trouble with the authorities during the Japanese Occupation.
The record is currently on display at the Former Ford Factory.
