Synopsis :This speech is addressing the importance of having IT knowledge with the help of the Computer Club. The Computer Club provides basic IT courses for citizens who apply to become members. The members may start with basic computer courses offered by the Computer Club before moving on to learn advanced in-depth applications. Also, the club highly encourages members to actively participate in activities that are organised by them. The opening of the Computer Club centre also celebrated the ample space it has acquired compared to the past. They have added new computers and new equipment for the members of the club so that they can keep up with new computer technology. In addtion, Mr S. Rajaratnam encourages citizens to actively equip themselves with IT knowledge as it would benefit them in the long run, especially in their career advancement. By doing so, they would also be more in touch with changes in society.
