This recording was made during the first recording session in Singapore in 1903. Together with GC-12894 (2015002114), these are the earliest records in the sound collection of the National Archives of Singapore. Not much is known of the performers, the Polyphonic Singers. The group possibly consisted of singers who also recorded as individual artists during the 1903 session. Details on the record label, including the song title and name of performers, were originally printed in Jawi.
