Written by Colonel H.R. Alden RAOC in October 1965. Description of the base on Pulau Brani. Notes on pre-war defence planning, the rapid increase in strength and detailed account of the fighting in Malaya and the fall of Singapore. Includes photographs of Ordnance Depots in Alexandra and on Pulau Brani, the officer's mess at Kent (Ridge) and at Alexandra Par and the surrender ceremony in September 1965. Details of buildings occupied by RAOC post war and the names of the senior officers. Appendices contain accounts of the fall of Singapore.
