Dept 16 May 1863 No. 33 - Letter from C Wood, Secretary of State, to the Governor General of India in Council, transmitting remarks and orders on various matters such as the transmission of the treaty between the Sultan and Tumongong of Johore, to the Dutch government. The contents of the treaty are not stated. Other matters include:
1) request for the transmission of a Turkish Medal for a Civil Surgeon;
2) receipt of Cashmere Tributes Shawls;
3) sanction of a Superannuation Pension; and
4) the appointment of a British officer to intervene in the affairs of the two 'Kamdar' states.
