Foreign Pol Dept. 19 Mar 1824 No. 4 - Letter from J Crawfurd, Resident at Singapore, to G Swinton, Secretary to Government, reporting that the tranquility of Singapore has been disturbed by the assassinations of and attempts to assassinate by the 'Malay followers' of the native chiefs. The letter also describes the measures taken by Crawfurd to curb these crimes.
