FCO 141/14568: Singapore. Malayan Communist Party (MCP) Propaganda. Secret - Migrated Archives
01/01/1953-31/12/1953
Two notes on the activities of the MCP. In January 1953 a Chinese who had been an occasional source of information for the Special Branch was shot and killed in Kallang Road and pamphlets denouncing him as a traitor to be eliminated by the MCP were scattered on his body. Later in the month a CID detective was shot and wounded and suspicion has fallen on the MCP. In February 1952 there was no over activity although Chinese have been apprehended in possession of quantities of Chinese Communist Party literature.
