HQ SACSEA forwarding photographic print requirements for Survey 14 Army, Operation Zipper. In addition to Block Plot requirements D.D. Survey, 14 Army requires two complete sets of all 1/25,000 scale photography and two complete sets of all 1/50,000 scale photography not incorporated into 1" scale maps in Malaya by 31 August. Map of Southern Malaya illustrating proposals made in the correspondence, SEAC/68/184/SVY, is stored in DVD 20130001034. Correspondence covered other topics such as: production of air photo mosaics of beaches, annotated with intelligence information as a supplement to beach maps; G.S. (I) has given a firm ruling that code names are not to be printed on collation maps of assault areas for security reasons; specifications for Flight Grid Maps; and compilation of Shackle collation maps has begun.
