WO 203/5108: Operation Zipper. Details of planning: correspondence
01/01/1945 - 31/12/1945
Correspondence pertaining to details of planning for Operation Zipper such as: serious delays in re-equipment of Units; provision of vehicles and  equipment for waterproofing; delay in Indian Railways system affecting Troop movements of 34 Corps; changes in estimates of proportion of heavy and light vehicle lift given by Sea Transport; and daily tonnage of water available after excluding normal commercial shipping requirements. Supreme Allied Commander South East Asia (SACSEA) informed Rear SACSEA that postponement of the submarine operation would cause much less dislocation and have less effect on other fleet operations than postponement of the air strike.
