WO 203/5103: Operation Zipper. Build up

Rear HQ Supreme Allied Commander South East Asia (SACR) J.P. Secretarial Memorandum no.328 pertaining to control of Zipper build-up considered whether special organisation is needed to enable the build-up to be altered in accordance with Force Commanders' requirements. Main considerations covered: HQ involved in Zipper area, in Ceylon, in Delhi, and in Rangoon. It is recommended that ALFSEA be the formation to undertake the task and responsibility of co-ordinating the control of the build-up in accordance with the requirements of the Force Commanders.
