WO 203/5098: Operation Zipper. Training for and mounting of

Correspondence pertaining to training for and mounting of Operation Zipper. Inter-service Executive Committee plans the buildup for Zipper-Mailfist according to the requirements of the Force Commanders. Commander in Chief E.I.F. announced that SO Force "W" will plan and execute a naval rehearsal for Zipper at Mandapam in August. Correspondence from SO Force "W" to Commander in Chief E.I.F. confirmed that the ships will proceed to their mounting port on the East Coast after the rehearsal. Supreme Allied Commander South East Asia (SACSEA) informed C. in C. India that five squadrons destined for Zipper-Mailfist will call on 44 Indian Airborne Division for parachute training during August and September.
