Reports from Supreme Allied Commander South East Asia (SACSEA) to Cabinet Offices on occupation operations after the Japanese surrender. Situation Reports on South East Asia Command (SEAC) covered: landing of Zipper Force in Port Dickson-Port Swettenham area; Wing HQ. and four squadrons R.A.F. Regiment landed in Penang; occupation of vital points in Singapore proceeded according to plan; surrender ceremony took place on 12 Sept in Singapore; Japanese forces disarmed before leaving the island; discovery of vast Japanese stocks including a million gallons of petrol; strikes and labour unrest; communist terrorist activities; BMA food policy increased the prestige of BMA at the expense of the communist; and evacuation of RAPWIs.
