Airgram from Ambassador  Francis J Galbraith  in Singapore to Department of State - Permanent Secretary for Defence George Bogaars explains how Singapore Government believes it possible that British military withdrawal can be delayed beyond 1971. Also that Singapore hopes to have one of its two projected interceptor squadrons in the air by 1970 although the type of aircraft to purchase has not been chosen.
