Reports cover photographic reconnaissance research of the region. Inter-Service meetings were to assess the facilities required to provide a Force Commander with air photographic intelligence in a Long Range Assault. Air-borne  reconnaissance efforts and land-based strategic reconnaissance from distant bases were discussed. Discussions included the value of visual reconnaissance using flares at night.
