The scope of Operation Zipper was outlined in the plans for the capture of Port Swettenham/Port Dickson and advance southwards as far as Johore Straits. The JPS paper 140 planned the capture of Singapore not later than the end of 1945. Another paper examined the effects of operation Roger and operation Langkawi on Operation Zipper. This operation will involve the Navy and Army with air support.
