Dinner in front of the River House, the oldest building in Clarke Quay. Built in the 1880s by wealthy Chinese gambier trader Tan Yeok Nee, this southern Chinese-style mansion served as a residence as well as a godown for gambier, biscuits and other commodities. It was restored in 1993 and renamed Forbidden City by the IndoChine Group in 2004, serving as a restaurant cum bar since then.
