The Malay Settlement Boys' Club beat the Katong Boys' Club 4-1 at the Clerical Union Hall. The McKerron Cup was established by Officer Administrating the Government Mr P.A.B. McKerron in 1949 to encourage the game of badminton among boys' organisations.
