E W Barker, President of Singapore National Olympic Council was introduced to Chia Boon Leong, Manager of Football Association of Singapore (FAS) team by N Ganesan, Chairman of FAS, at the opening ceremony of Pre-Olympic Asia Group 3 held from 24 February to 12 March 1980.
