Photo shows Mahmud Bin Awang, busy at work in the Singapore Traction Company Employees' Union office at 18, Race Course Road. Mahmud Bin Awang was the president for both the Singapore Traction Company Employees' Union and the Singapore Trade Union Congress. The Singapore Trade Union Congress was later succeeded by the National Trade Union Congress (NTUC) in 1960.
