Group photograph of Sunday School children, teachers and members of Katong Gospel Hall. Started in the 1930s in a rented shophouse at 17 East Coast Road, Katong Gospel Hall was an effort by the Brethren church to spread the faith among people in the Tanjong Katong, Joo Chiat and Telok Kurau area, especially the lower classes.
