The man seated is Koh Peng Chiang (許炳昌). The woman seated to his right is is second wife, Sim Chiew Hong (沈秋鳳) carrying her infant son, Koh Eng Yam (許英炎). The other children standing from left to right are Koh Siew Hueh (許秀花), Koh Lau Hueh (許老花), Koh Kim Hueh (許金花), Koh Guan Yam (許元炎), Koh Koon Yam (許坤炎), Koh Kim Yam (許金炎) and Koh Cheng Yam (許清炎).
