One of the warehouses with lorry parked marked EAC (not clearly seen) belongs to East Asiatic Company. The tall building of six storeys ahead is EDB, EIDA building with street address of 179 River Valley Road, used to be premises of Light Industries Services the backbone training organisation that raised, trained skilled workers for Singapore's successful industrialisation in 1960's.  Partially hidden is Hotel Oberoi Imperial on Jalan Rhumbia. The photo is taken from the shoreline at acute angle.
