SINGAPORE. THE FIRST SICK POWS TO LEAVE CHANGI CAMP FOLLOWING THE JAPANESE SURRENDER ON 15 AUG 1945 WERE TAKEN BY AMBULANCES TO HOSPITAL SHIPS, AND WERE GIVEN A SEND OFF BY COMPANIONS WHO WILL SOON FOLLOW THEM.
