PART OF A SERIES OF AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS FROM WEST TO EAST SHOWING: ALEXANDRA
Aerial view of the Alexandra Road area, with north down, so best viewed rotated 180°. Then, Alexandra Road is the road running diagonally from the middle right edge of the photograph to the bottom edge. In the bottom right corner is Hock San Brickworks and part of its quarry. Between the brickworks and Alexandra Road are the ABC railway sidings. The large factory on Alexandra Road is the Archipelago (Anchor) Brewery. Above and left of Alexandra Road is the Chinese cemetery at the Bukit Pandan Kechil / Stirling Road area. Note that this photograph predates the construction of Jalan Bukit Merah, which later crossed the bottom of the area seen.
