Synopsis

Managed to get into good high school. He was good in mathematics.  Differences between good and normal high school in Hanoi.  Difficulties in finding additional materials for his study in 1990s.  Put more time in study and kept him away from some bad habits.  Hanoi was influenced by Russia; people could go there and study.  Impression of Russia.  He was one of the few best students in national examination.  Major in informatics since high school, had more access to international news and information compared to other Vietnamese.  Why he chose to major in informatics instead of mathematics.  Father supported his decision and bought him expensive computer.  Things that his father did for him and his sister.  Describe what he studied in university in mid 1990s.  He was one of the top ten students for first two years and top five for last two years. Family was proud of him.  Received scholarship, able to finance his study.  One of top students in final exam, his plan.  Became lecturer in university.  His pay not enough to support a family.  Work part-time for US company.
