Born 1963 in Kunming, China. Family background, family members were separated due to China Revolution. Father was old when he was young. Life in car factory, humble staying place. What kind of person his father was. How his father cared about him. Father never told him about his suffering during China Revolution. Do not understand why his father returned to China to fight against Japanese and in the end suffered after war. Family never talks about his father’s status as overseas Chinese. Felt sorry for his father since lower secondary. Recall his father still working hard at age 80 to support the children. Since 1980s, got to know more about father’s relationship with Singapore. How he tried to find out more about his father and Yunnan-Burma Road. How he felt about his father. Father passed away at his first day of work. Memories of him with his father. How he felt travelling on Yunnan-Burma Road. How his father had influence on him. How his sister and him research on Yunnan-Burma Road. He designed the monument for volunteer drivers and mechanics (南侨机工). How he felt about his father as volunteer drivers during Sino-Japanese war. His wish for his son.
