*Born 1945, humble background. How mother contributed to the family, types of work that mother done. Feeling for her mother. Education background, studied in Chung Cheng High School (Branch). Students strikes during her school days. Dropped out of school at secondary four. Continued her study in Nan Chiau High School. Talk about how she felt about boycotting examination, family had no objection. How she applied for job in Radio and Television of Singapore (RTS). Started to joined Gong Shang School Alumni activities in 1958. Activities that she joined. Recall Rediffusion programme that she enjoyed in 1950s, programme she liked. How she joined Rediffusion Mandarin Play Group 丽的呼声华语话剧研究组and its Hokkien Radio Play Group厦语话剧组 at the same time. Training she received from Rediffusion Mandarin Play Group. Recall her first radio play. Why she left Rediffusion Mandarin Play Group. No training from Hokkien Radio Play Group, how they learnt.

Synopsis
She was less active in Rediffusion radio play since 1973 after she was married. How she felt about the decrease in Hokkien programme in Rediffusion. How she started broadcasting Hokkien news for radio. Talk about applying for job after she graduated from high school. Talk about her clerical work in Radio and Television of Singapore (RTS), core duties was to copy news scripts. Describe her job, worked officially from 2pm to 9pm, and could knock off early. Changes in working hours in 1973. Changes in job scope when computer was brought in. How news editor handled news scripts. How visuals were used in news during early days. How they handled last minute news. Felt threaten when computer was introduced, made effort to upgrade herself. Transferred from news department to Zao’an Ni Hao《早安你好》as Assistant Producer.
