Synopsis

Tan See Boo converted by Pastor Grant, founded church. Great-grandfather, Y.W. Tan, was a doctor based in Kuala Lumpur, owned a dispensary. Father helped out in dispensary and mother ran the household. Maternal family owned Commercial Press. Entered Raffles College, Science Faculty. Small batch, including future husband, Lee Siow Mong. Stayed with grand-uncle in Singapore. Not conducive environment and left college after first year. Worked at FMS Railways and gave tuition. Correspondence with future husband.
