Certain programmes were assigned to produce. Differences between Golden and Silver network. How she master the controls in the broadcasting studio. Synopsis

Advertisements had to be broadcast on time, if the broadcaster forgot to play or play it late, advertisers would complain. In the earlier days, radio advertisements were simple usually read by one person, later advertisers would want to have dialogues, drama elements, background music, jungles in the advertisements. Synopsis

Was asked to take charge of Hakka program soon after she joined Rediffusion. Hakka program only once a week and only half an hour. Hakka community was small in Singapore; Hakka songs available for broadcasting were also scarce. There was also a Hakka story-teller. All dialect programmes were gradually stopped from the late 1970s onwards. New Mandarin programmes were made to fill the gap. Song programmes sponsored by recording firms were popular than.

Synopsis

Due to increase need for Mandarin programmes Rediffusion had to recruit and train more young Mandarin broadcasters. Her job scope gradually changed more to training new broadcasters and directing them in producing programmes. Rediffusion’s listenership dropped sharply after dialect programmes were stopped. Children Drama group was dissolved as Rediffusion stopped producing children programmes. Recalled some incidents with fans of hers but fans in those days were reserved and simple.
