Synopsis

Why father sold his son instead of his daughter. Father worked in a soya sauce factory become coming to Singapore. Father’s first wife left him after he got into an accident. How family got in touch with his sibling who was being sold. Why father became the unofficial kampong chief despite the presence of a village leader. There were basically two camps in the village: Teochew group who supported a ‘coconut‘ icon candidate  and those supporting the People's Action Party (PAP). Relationship between the two camps. Description of two schools within the village. How interviewer got interested in fishballs. How he experimented with fishball making.
