Synopsis
The Martin Family owned 100 Tanglin Road property. Most Armenian balls (parties) were held there. How the Armenians obtained the land at Hill Street to build the church. Mrs Helen Metes is the last three-member trustee of the church. Dromgold Coleman, the architect of the Armenian Church, had an Armenian mistress. Catchick Moses was a co-founder of THE STRAITS TIMES. Assimilation of the Armenians into the community. Armenians are enterprising people.

Synopsis
Recollections of the eleven pure Armenian families in 1968. Reduced to three in 1993. Last service was held in 1997. Description of the order of worship. Service was conducted in the Grabar language. No weekly service after the priest left in 1938. Armenians practiced infant baptism by immersion. Armenians' view on circumcision and the Holy Communion. Armenians observed Christmas as well as "Epiphany" on 6 January. Short description of an Armenian marriage. Armenians only buried their dead; no cremation.
