Father taught English, music in Yangzheng. Had eight sisters. Childhood memories. Family very poor. Looked after younger sisters. Leisure activities. Celebration of festivals like Chinese New Year. Relationship with parents. Attended Yangzheng for few years before attending Stamford Primary School in 1949. Received $75 scholarship to attend Stamford Primary. School days in Yangzheng.
