Synopsis

Came to Singapore from Kota Tinggi when he was eighteen years old.  Worked in a prawn farm at Punggol.  Traditional method of catching prawns.  Earned $80.00 a month in the 1950s.  Became a fisherman.  Recollections of an incident when his boat capsized.  Met with three accidents at sea.  Fishes were plenteous in the 1960s.  Manual trawling of fishes was laborious.
