Grandfather's estate in Jurong is now Jurong industrial estate. Chew Boon Lay was very keen on manufacturing. Types of biscuits he manufactured. Also manufactured sweets and soaps. Grandfather had many rubber estates looked after by his sons. Why interviewee's uncle, Rev. Chew Hock Hin, was sent to Indonesia. Background of interviewee's parents.
