(0:01:50) Entered King Edward VII College of Medicine. Reason she took up medicine.
(0:03:50) Her undergraduate studies. Worked as a nurse during Japanese Occupation.
(0:06:34) Graduated in 1950s. Served her housemanship at Kandang Kerbau Hospital (KKH) and Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
(0:07:59) Duties as a medical officer in charge of ward and supervising housemen.
(0:10:05) Coping with overcrowding at the Casualty and Emergency Unit.
(0:11:38) Awarded Queen’s scholarship. Became a senior registrar. Took 12 years to be appointed Physician Grade G.
(0:13:30) Did not like to do administrative work. Decided to go into private practice.
