(0:00:16) Born in Telok Anson in a family of 12 children and the memory of treatment by Chinese Sinseh.
(0:03:48) His childhood memories.
(0:06:58) Was a Boy Scout and involved in school dramas.
(0:13:40) Moved to Ipoh at the age of 14 and studied at St. Michael's Institution.
(0:15:08) In 1939, started dental studies at King Edward VII College of Medicine, Singapore.
(0:19:48) Returned to the Medical College in 1946 when the school restarted.
(0:20:31) Changed studies to medicine and graduated in 1951.
(0:23:34) Served his housemanship at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
