Born in Singapore. Stayed at Ceylon Road. Father was building contractor. Ceylonese community and their major occupations. Women did not go out to work then. Type of houses and main modes of transportation. No electricity and water facilities. Cheap cost of living. Leisure was playing musical instruments and visiting friends. History of Senpaga Vinayagar Temple at Ceylon Road. Temples popular with Ceylonese community.
