Synopsis

In December 1936 boarded ship for Singapore. Relatives came to railway station to send him off. Brought along mat, pillow and clothes. 13 days journey. Met relative at Kampong Bahru Road. There were tailor, barber, flour  mill shops along Kampong Bahru Road. Goldsmith Kannan popular with Tamils. Railway quarters and dressers quarters at hospital. Idayappam sellers in vicinity.
