Synopsis
Personal background. His father a farmer. Six children in family. Attained primary five education. Village folks were cattle breeders, farmers. He came here in 1952 to work. Worked as gardener and watchman in school. Most Tamils worked in Public Works Department. Lived in Serangoon Road quarters. Tamil school in St George's Road. Cattle breeders who were Uttar Pradeshis and Tamils, lived at Potong Pasir. Vegetarian restaurants - Krishna Vilas and Komala Vilas.

Synopsis
Description of temples. Veerama Kaliamman Temple, Sivan Temple popular with Tamils. He worked on contract basis after 1969. Became interested in parrot astrology. Has 2 parrots named Arun and Raja. Became parrot astrologer since 1987, earning about $15 to $20 a day. Meets all kinds of customers at Serangoon Road. Intends to go back to India soon to settle there.
