How father first came out to Malaya as contract labourer. Life as contract labourer. Escaped to Singapore. Got job as watchman at Kandang Kerbau Market at Serangoon Road. Major problem now faced by him was getting workers. Same problem faced by textile shops, retail businesses and restaurants. Household items, spices and medicinal herbs sold in his shop.
