Synopsis
Father came to Hua Soon Pah Village in Sembawang in 1889. Father's reasons for migration. Siblings worked as rubber tappers. Family's financial difficulties. Mother and children worked for Bukit Sembawang Rubber Company Ltd. He worked in Thong Aik Rubber Factory in 1923. Working conditions there. As rubber tapper again when rubber price had gone up. Sold fish at Beach Road when rubber prices were poor.
