Role of Women's Section in 1957. Tanjong Pagar By-elections. Elected to Central Executive Committee (CEC) at Special Party Conference in October 1957. Stood for City Council Elections 1957. Her election compaign in Kampong Glam.

Twice involved in leading kin of political detainees (those arrested during Operation Coldstore) on peaceful petition to seek detainees' release.
